Shawfest 2018

We're delight to be back in Glasgow and performing at SHAWFEST.

The brilliant Kim Carnie and Nae Plans are also performing at the festival which is in memory of the late Islay musician and composer Fraser Shaw.

We're playing in St Peters hall, Chancellor Street, Glasgow at 7.30pm. Doors are at 7pm.

***Shawfest is a yearly festival that helps to raise money for The Fraser Shaw Trust***

The Fraser Shaw Trust was set up in memory of a much loved guy and wonderful musician who passed away in May 2015 after battling with MS and eventually PML. The trust raises funds for MS charities through a range of projects celebrating Fraser and his music including festivals, concerts, recordings, whisky tastings, the release of his tunebook, and more.

The Hexham Gathering 2018

We are delighted to be playing at the Hexham Gathering 2018 back on Nicky's home turf.

The concert in the Queens Hall starts at 7.00pm and will feature the brilliant Pons Aelius and 4th Generation as well

Unfortunately Megan and Jamie can't make this one so Nicky and Hamish will be joined for one night only by Stonehaven fiddle maestro Ross Hull.

Edinburgh's TRAD FEST - Battle of the Folk Bands

We are performing as part of Hands up for Trad's Battle of the folk bands at the Edinburgh Trad Fest 2018. 
We will be performing along side some other brilliant bands like Balter, Eriska, SKNT GOAT and the Joe Armstrong Band.

Tickets are £10 and the Gig starts at 7.30pm. Venue is the Pleasance Theatre.

Celtic Connections- Nead an Ceòladair: The Musician's Nest

Eabhal are performing as part of the Nead an Ceòladair line up.

Nead An Ceòladair: The Musician’s Nest is an aptly-titled showcase of musical talent nurtured by Lews Castle College UHI’s Uibhist-based music programmes, featuring students and alumni in a combined concert, film and album launch, directed by Anna-Wendy Stevenson and Jamie MacDonald.

The Cairn Hotel, Carrbridge

This one os always a fun one. We're back up north for a fundraiser event to raise fund for support in Nepal. There will be music, song, drams and dancing. There will probably be a session afterwards so please bring an instrument and get involved!

The Cairn: A family owned Highland Inn with seven beautiful bedrooms, a traditional, atmospheric bar and really great, local, seasonal bar meals. Seated in the Carrbridge high street there is plenty to offer from fine local ales, the best whisky form the surrounding area, delicious food all cooked with local produce and live music. Just north of Aviemore, it's a great location to explore and enjoy the Cairngorm National Park.

The first gig of our Spring tour and we'll be doing joint headline gig with 'SNUFFBOX' at Seaboard Hall in Balintore.

Snuffbox are an acoustic trio, based in Glasgow, featuring Charlie Stewart on fiddle, Rufus Huggan on cello and Luc McNally on guitar and vocals. Mixing traditional tunes with contemporary flair, as well as quirky, original material, Snuffbox melds old and new to create entirely their own sound.
